Goals of the collaboration
Control and manipulation of soft materials in a confined fluidic environment are central to the functionalities of various microfluidic devices handling the active biological matter and beyond. Recent advancements in this rapidly emerging area of research have been the cornerstones of many cutting edge scientific activities between the colleagues in France and in India, harnessing their complementary expertise.
- Consolidate our already established collaborations through short or medium-term scientific exchanges.
- Organize workshops and seminars for the development of joint research activities.
- Work on applications by responding to European (Horizon 2020), Cefipra (Indo-French collaborative scheme), Rahman-Charpak calls for projects.
- Obtain grants from both sides in order to co-guide Masters, Ph.D students and Post-doctoral fellows. The collaboration can be very active through students (Ph.Ds, Masters) and Post-docs.
- Define collaborative work on research agenda aligned with the United Nations sustainable development goals.
- Pioneer ambitious research initiatives on emerging areas such as bio-mimetic microvascular physiology mimicking the functionality of human body circulatory system on a chip, development of affordable technologies based on novel scientific principles for the benefit of the under-served global population.
The team will work towards involving industrial partners in future.
